Patent No. Europe 1 141 145 A
Sherwin-Williams has patented waterborne coatings that cure at room temperature on stoving or on irradiation, and provide good chemical-, humidity- and corrosion-resistance with good adhesion. They contain a binder resin with post-crosslinking groups, associative thickener with post-crosslinking groups, and a associative dispersant with post-crosslinking groups. Components are adjusted for required properties. The binder is derived from monoethylenically unsaturated monomers with latent crosslinking functionality as specified.
